Project Udaan – helping rural youth reach for the skies
For seven hundred-plus rural Indians living below the poverty line, it’s been a dream run since mid-July 2011. Under Project Udaan, an ambitious tie-up between Future Learning and the Ministry of Rural Development, these youngsters, sourced from across India, underwent a time-bound training and capacity building programme. Three weeks later, they received placements at big names from corporate India – Big Bazaar, McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Pizza Hut, Vodafone, Bata, Aditya Birla Retail, Pantaloons and more. It’s only just begun…

All set to fly! Successful Udaan beneficiaries proudly display programme completion certificates and placement letters.

At Project Udaan’s Aurangabad press conference, it’s smiles everywhere.
