Project Udaan

Future Learning, with its capability and competency in education and training, has joined hands with the Union Ministry of Rural Development (MORD) and NABCONS to provide free training to unemployed rural below poverty line (BPL) youth across 19 states in India.

Future Learning has flagged off a skill development initiative called “Project Udaan” in partnership with the Ministry of Rural Development (MORD) Government of India. The project aims to provide skill based training and employment to 32,000 rural BPL beneficiaries.

Currently, Project Udaan is being rolled out across 19 states in the country, catering to the organised retail sector, which includes jobs in customer-facing roles, retail housekeeping and supply chain management.

Employers provide location-wise requirement of manpower, based on which Future Learning mobilises below poverty line youth known as beneficiaries. Prospective employers along with Future Learning jointly screen the beneficiaries. This is followed by a 120-hour training programme comprising classroom as well as on-the-job training.

Future Learning is expanding its network with the goal to train and place more than 500+ candidates per month. Essentially, this means that every 24 hours a rural BPL youth will be employed!
